As a rescue dog adopted by my loving Ma, I’ve had the opportunity over the last few years to enjoy a wide variety of treats and toys. Below are a list of my favorite toys and treats that I recommend to all of my dog pals.

TREATS
I love all sorts of dog treats: soft, hard, chewy. My favorites include:
Chews:
Antlers: For chew treats, Ma likes to give me antlers as an alternative to rawhide. They last me a long time and don’t upset my tummy.
Redbarn Collagen Sticks: These chew treats made of beef collagen are another good alternative to rawhide. Ma says it’s best to monitor when giving these treats and not letting a dog have a whole one in a single setting to avoid digestive problems.
NutriChomps Dog Chews: For heavy chewers, these braided dog treats are a good alternative to rawhide.
Dental care treats:
Ark Naturals Brushless Toothpaste: I’m not even insulted when Ma gives me these treats because of my bad breath. They are so tasty and unlike a lot of other dental treats, they don’t cause me digestive issues.
Minties: These are so tasty and Ma says they make my breath smelly minty fresh!
Shameless Pets Dental Treats: These are kind of like fruit jerky for dogs. My favorite flavor is The Tooth Berry, it’s blueberry flavored. Yum!
Whimzees: The Brushzees natural dental chews have a unique shape that make it easier for me to hold in my paws while I chew away and clean my teeth.
Fruitables Dental Chews: These are so tasty and are one of the only treats I’ve had that include a treat pocket within the chew!
Pill Pockets: As a senior dog, I take quite a few medications. Fortunately, I’m really good about taking pills as long as they are in a pill pocket or pill wrap. For the longest time, I liked pill pockets, but over the last year, I’m all about pill wraps.
Greenies Pill Pockets: I’m fond of the chicken flavor. Ma says they are easy to work with and she likes they come in large quantities for added value.
Presidio Pill Buddy Naturals: These were my favorite pill pockets for awhile. They are nice and soft and come in yummy flavors like peanut butter and banana.
PetMD Wrap a Pill: These pill wraps are my current favorite. I love the bacon and cheese flavor.
Riley’s Pill Wraps for Dogs: I love this brand of pill wraps as well. Again, the bacon and cheese is yummy.
SPECIAL TREATS
Bone Broth
Merrick Grain Free Bone Broth: I enjoyed this tasty chicken bone broth flavored with turmeric and parsley.
Open Farm Bone Broth: Great for the holidays, this turkey bone broth is made with human-grade ingredients (but I wouldn’t let Ma try any because I wanted to save it all for myself.)
Primalvore Grass-Fed Beef Broth: This tasty beef broth is made in the USA and has a long shelf life, but it doesn’t last long around here.
Birthday Treats
Petcakes: Ma baked me a real birthday cake shaped like a bone for my last birthday. It was so yummy and Ma said it was easy to make. The kit comes with everything you need, from the ingredients to the pan and even a candle. You just mix it up and put it in the microwave.
Pup-Pie: This treat from The Lazy Dog Cookie Co. is like a birthday cookie cake for dogs. It comes frosted and with sprinkles, pre-sliced for easy treat giving.
